Today I’m showing you my new super seventies jumpsuit by H&M. I love the print and color, it has a great 70s feel to it, doesn’t it? I found this jacket in my basement storage, it was one of those pieces I was planning to sell, but then rediscovered my love for it! I could probably start my own second hand clothing store, with the amount of stuff I’m saving in my basement.(Maybe I really should do something about it.) H&M has some really cool affordable items in their collection at the moment, like this 70s trend jumpsuit, lots of prints, flared pants, faux fur and suede. (Shoptip!) [Read more…]
Hi everyone! Today I’m showing you an outfit that’s a little out of my comfort zone. I’m wearing printed trousers, and they’re also flared. The funny thing is that I kind of made up my mind and thought I was going to skip this trend. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I love it, but I’m not that tall, and in my mind a little too curvy to really rock this trend. But I ordered a pair of River Island boots a few weeks ago, and found this beautiful printed pair of high waisted trousers on sale for a bargain and ended up adding it to my shopping basket. Oops. I’m the type of person that normally fills an online shopping basket every night, but then doesn’t order. This time I didn’t really think that much, because though they’re really nice, I’m still not to sure about them. They’re a little bit more wide flared than I expected.
What do you think of this look?
Are you ready for this season’s new trend?
There’s no way around it, the 70’s are back. The catwalks were filled with lots of 70’s flavour. This means:fringes, flared trousers and lot’s of suede.
Suede is such a beautiful fabric, soft, warm and like real leather, suede items will last a life time. So definitely something worth investing in this season.
Prints for this season? Paisleys, geometrics, and plaids splashed across your scards, dresses and pantsuits. Retro is the future!
If it’s all getting a bit too ‘period dressing’ for your liking, just combine it with a little 90s vibe; like little chokers, polo necks, crop tops and trainers.
I’ve selected a few 70’s inspired items that are definitely on my wishlist and easy to style your own way! Winter? So over it already, bring it on spring!

If you’re as devoted as me to your boyfriend jeans or skinny jeans, this is gonna be hard. This season the new trouser shape is one straight from the ’70s: the flare!
I guess some of the designer houses were done with the clean look of the normcore trend, and dug up designs from the days of flower power, Janis Joplin & Joni Mitchell.
I love the look, but it’s a shape and trend that I’m personally going to skip…I’m short and don’t exactly cycle and work out like a pro, so I don’t think this shape will look good on me. When I was a teenager though and wore clothes a few sizes smaller , I was really into the flared jeans, wore a leather coat with fake fur collar and had long brown hair.. a little hippie chick!
If you do have a thing for this new shape, try to proportion your look. Be careful that your outfit doesn’t look like a costume, and that your look stays cool and in balance. As a top I would keep things sleek and sharp.
